U.S House Yet to gather the votes for Ryan and Trump alternative Health Care Bills Proposal to Repeal Obamacare
U.S House Yet to gather the votes to Ryan and Trump alternate Health Care Bills Proposal to repeal Obamacare On the date that House Speaker Paul Ryan had wished to deliver a triumphant speech against former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, according to Myrtle-Beach online.
President Donald Trump and Ryan are still battling to have enough support to give the new Trump administration a thumb victory Thursday, hoping to remove a conservative bridge on the bill that could doom the president’s first major policy proposal. Trump will be meeting with members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus at 11:30 a.m. in his third bid in as many days to try to bring in more members into voting for his plan.
But a scheduled 9 a.m. meeting with the Republican conference was abruptly canceled, with some lawmakers visiting the venue Capitol Hill early only to find the meeting aren’t holding at all.
Ryan could withdraw the embattled health care proposal for further revisions if he lacks the votes, but the defeat could put in danger Congress’s legislative agenda and deliver a significant blow to Trump’s national agenda, along with Trump’ inference that he’s the real deal maker. The House started debate early Thursday on a constituted rule that would allow the revision of the healthcare bill to be brought to the House floor at any point until Monday.
